![]() With SO-50 with 2 switches on the desk it was easy to switch polarity when the sat flipped. I have 14 elements on 2m and 22 elements 70cm. later added the switching kit from M2 antennas. When I could afford it I went to crossed yagi beams mounted in the X plain and dual axis rotator. They were using crossed yagis with polarity switching. The bug got me and I listened to the stations that were always on air and what they were using. Operated the rotator by hand following the headings on Satpc32 and was probably about 80% successful with the older sats around at the time. That worked so purchased a 6 element 70 cm beam angled them at about 30 degrees, mounted on a single axis rotator in the horizontal plane. Gave it a try with a home built 2 m beam to see if I could receive. I started in 2009 after seeing a demo of IOIO hand held antenna and hand held radios.
